Probably the single most important aspect of photography is the lighting, it is the one thing that can make or break a photograph. Most of the interior photos that I post on my blog are taken by the window, where the sunlight streams through. My sheer window covering filters the light which is great for back-lighting a subject.
I woke up to these beautiful pink tulips on Sunday morning (I celebrated my 35th birthday) and instantly fell in love. They were neatly arranged on a vase and was left by the window where I usually take my shots. It was a picture perfect moment.
The lighting was perfect, it needed very little tweaking in post. I simply adjusted the levels in Photoshop and applied Kim Klassen‘s kk_anna texture to soften the green stems and leaves. This is my entry for Kim’s Texture Tuesday.
